Our Valued Staff

Our compassionate and caring team work hard each and every day to make sure that the members of our community and beyond are taken care of during such a difficult time. For advice on what to do when a loved one is dying, making funeral arrangements, pre-arranging your own funeral, or anything else, please feel free to contact us, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Arthur Queen

President

Arthur T. Queen has been in the funeral business for over 50 years. Former owner of Loring Byers Funeral Directors, Inc. He purchased what is now Burrier-Queen Funeral Home and Crematory, P.A. in 1992. Born in Clarksburg, WV. Art, now splits time at Fairhaven and Hedgesville, WV(Woods Resort). He enjoys woodworking and making Stained Glass and painting . He was a member of the former Liberty Exchange Club. Art taught Bible Study for 18 years at Colonial Baptist Church in Pikesville. He is a current member of Elders Baptist Church. Art now resides at Fairhaven Retirement Community in Sykesville.

James Covey

Vice-President/Funeral Director/Owner

James has worked for Art Queen since he was 14 years old, starting at Loring Byers Funeral Directors, Inc. in Randallstown, MD. He has served as a Funeral Director since 1989 and has been at Burrier-Queen Funeral Chapel since 1992. He now serves as V.P. of the funeral home. Jim grew up in Randallstown. He and his wife Cindy lived in the Reisterstown area and now reside in Finksburg, Jim has been married for over 25 years, and have four sons, Tyler, twins Logan and Conner and Brady. He is the past President of the Randallstown Optimist Club and served on many other committees. He is currently a member of the Gamber-Smallwood Optimist Club. He is also a member of Westminster Elks Club, Past President of the Taylorsville-Winfield Lions Club. He is a former member of the Milford Mill U.M. Church in Pikesville and Taylorsville U.M. Church and presently a member of Calvary U.M. Church in Gamber, serving on the Financial committee. Jim is a member of the Maryland State Funeral Directors Association, the National Funeral Directors Association, Tri-County Funeral Directors, Academy of Professional Funeral Service Practice and Cremation Association of North America (CANA). Jim enjoys playing a wide variety of sports including softball,basketball, golf, football and lacrosse and helping to coach youngsters and his children in sports with Gamber/Smallwood Optimist Club, Westminster Area Lacrosse and the Fearless Lacrosse Club, Rock Lacrosse and Team 91 MD He enjoys spending time with his family and children and watching his sons play sports with the recreational/club teams, Westminster High School and his oldest son at Florida Tech. 
Jim is on the Carroll Hospice Board of trustees.

Todd Kellner

Funeral Director / Owner

Todd is no stranger to the funeral business, he grew up in it with his father Joe Kellner being VP at Loring Byers Funeral Directors in Randallstown. Todd started working there at 12 and later at Burrier-Queen when purchased in 1992. Todd is a 1992 Graduate of Franklin High School and a 1995 Graduate of Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science with Associate and Bachelors Degrees in Mortuary Science. Todd earned his Eagle Scout from Troop 706 in Glyndon, MD. In his free time he enjoys going to Oriole and Ravens games,  Snow Skiing, Golfing and volunteering at local carnivals and with Baltimore Adaptive Recreation and Sports. He is a member of St. John's Roman Catholic Church in in Westminster and St. Michaels Roman Catholic Church Knights of Columbus. He is a member and past Treasurer of Prudence Lodge #190 A. F. & A. M. in Mt Airy. He is also a founding Member of The Mt. Airy Disaster Relief Fund. Todd is a member of the Maryland State Funeral Directors Association, the National Funeral Directors Association, Tri-County Funeral Directors, Academy of Professional Funeral Service Practice and Cremation Association of North America (CANA)  and Mt. Airy Sons of the American Legion Gold Star Post 191. Todd has 3 beautiful young   daughters Ariana,  Aubrey and Layla

Tyler Moser

Funeral Director

Tyler will be joining Burrier-Queen full time now as a licensed Mortician. He has worked for the funeral home since 2007 in various part time capacities. Tyler is a member of Elders Baptist Church in Eldersburg, Married his wife, Amber in September of 2017, is a graduate of North Carroll High School and has received a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies from Stevenson University (2014) as well as an Associates degree in Mortuary Science from Baltimore County Community College(2018). He is looking forward to helping serve the Winfield and surrounding communities.
