William A. Williamson, 88, of Winfield died Thursday, April 18, 2013 at his home.
He was the spouse of Cora “Peggy” (Disney) Williamson.
He was born August 31, 1924 in Baltimore, the son of the late Grover Cleveland Williamson & the late Ollie Lee Ambrose Williamson.
He was an English teacher for over 40 years for Baltimore County public schools, and a Driver’s Ed instructor. He had a Master’s Degree in Education from Western Maryland College.
He served in the Navy during WWII; he loved to read and listen to music, and he loved animals.
He is survived by daughter Cathy Baynar and husband Jack of Winfield, MD; granddaughters Jennifer Becker of Winfield, and Tracey Davidson of Greencastle, PA; grandson Mike Baynar of Winfield; 8 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren; sister Doris Roberts of Baltimore; 4 nephews and 1 niece. He was predeceased by a brother, Vernon Williamson; nephew Ross Williamson; and niece Melissa Disney.
Services will be held at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A., 1212 W. Old Liberty Rd., Winfield at 11:30 AM on Monday, April 22, 2013. Interment will follow at Lake View Memorial Park, Sykesville, MD. Friends may call on Sunday, April 21, 2013 from 2:00 – 4:00, and 6:00 – 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
