Virginia Brantley (nee Witte ) 86 of Granite MD, died Friday December 25, 2009 at Siani Hospital. Beloved Wife of 40 years to the late Lewis S. Brantley. Mrs. Brantley was born September 13, 1923 in Baltimore, MD. The daughter of the late Frederick Witte and the late Emma C. (Hunter) Witte. Mrs. Brantley was a 1941 Graduate of Franklin High School. Devoted Mother of Brian and wife Nancy Brantley of Windsor Mill, John and wife Susan Brantley of Windsor Mill, Bryant Brantley of Rosedale, Lewellyn “Corkey” and wife Janelle Brantley Lagrange, OH. Loving Sister of Franklin and wife Lynn Witte of Salisbury, Freda and Jack Creekmore of Palm Beach, FL. Dearest Grandmother of Garth and wife Katherine “Kate” Brantley of Baltimore, Nathan Brantley of Baltimore, Sophia and husband Dave Frome of Baltimore, Leah and husband John Bain of Hampstead, Amy Brantley Briggs and her husband Robert of Baltimore. Friends may call Tuesday and Wednesday 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home and Crematory, P.A., 1212 W. Old Liberty Rd Winfield, MD 21784. Funeral Services will held Thursday, December 31, 2009 11 AM at Granite Presbyterian Church 10637 Old Court Rd. Woodstock, MD 21163, with interment in the church Cemetery.
