Thomas C. Cleary

Thomas “Tom” C. Cleary, 86, of Daisy, MD passed away on Monday, January 26, 2026.

He was the beloved husband of Janet Cleary (nee Sabo) of 53 years.

Born September 5, 1939, in Queens, NY, the son of the late Thomas Joseph Cleary and the late Metha Ruth Cleary (nee Nygaard).

Tom Grew up in Amityville, New York and played competitive baseball.

Tom was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He graduated from Syracuse University with a bachelor’s degree in Russian Language and Culture. He was an active member of Mt. Airy Full Gospel Church and enjoyed leading a Bible Study in Mt. Airy. Tom had a great passion for Farming.

Surviving in addition to his wife are his children Jennifer Cleary, Donna Gregg, and Thomas Patrick Cleary.; also survived by 11 grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Monday, February 2, 2026, from 11:30 am – 12:30 PM with funeral service starting at 12:30 PM at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A. 1212 West Old Liberty Road Sykesville, MD 21784 (beside South Carroll High School), with Pastor Thomas Gue officiating.

Private Interment at Crestlawn Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be sent to Mt. Airy Full Gospel Church 13949 Penn Shop Road Mount Airy, Maryland 21771.
