Shirley Mae Horton (nee Skipper), 89 of Westminster, MD passed away on Sunday, May 10, 2026.
Beloved wife of the late Ralph Emerson Horton for 46 years.
She was born August 3, 1936, in Hampstead, MD.
Survived by her children Ken Horton & wife Sandy and Debbie Tegeler & Walter; granny of Walt “Bud” Tegeler & wife Stephanie, Rebecca Singo & husband JT, Katie Horton & fiancé Zach Pittinger and Rachael Horton; great granny of Avery Tegeler & River Singo. Also survived by her sister Carrie Flynn.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, from 4 to 8 PM at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory 1212 West Old Liberty Road Sykesville, MD 21784, where funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at 11 AM.
Interment to follow at Meadow Branch Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice in Mrs. Shirley’s honor.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Lorien in Taneytown for the great care they took of Mrs. Shirley.
