Sarah loved flowers and working in her garden. She won a prize for flower arranging representing Sudbrook Park at Lexington Market in 1959. Her home was filled with flowers all year long.
Early in their marriage, Sarah and Don enjoyed square dancing and bowling with their friends. Later on, they had an active card circuit, often entertaining at their home playing canasta or bridge. Sarah regularly hosted 2 tables of afternoon bridge.
Sarah also welcomed her church friends into her home for a Bible Study until 2020.
