Robert Allen Farver, Sr., age 75, of Sykesville, MD died Saturday, October 19, 2013 at Sinai Hospital, Baltimore.
Born on July 24, 1938 in Hanover, PA he was the son of the late Roland & Helen Martin Farver. He was the husband of Beverly Grammer Farver, his wife of 50 years.
He was an Army Veteran serving as one of the 1st group of Paratroopers assigned to the Signal Corps.
He was a certified MasterTool & Die maker beginning his career at Black & Decker, Bausch & Lomb and retiring in 2006 from Micro Machining.
He was a past Chairman, secretary, Chaplain, current editor & publisher of the newsletter for the Col Reuben Tucker chapter of the 82nd Airborne.
He was an active member of Wards Chapel UM Church having a 33 year perfect attendance for Sunday School. He belonged to the Sons of the American Revolution, The Genealogical Society of Carroll County. He did volunteer blacksmithing at the Farm Museum. He volunteered every Tuesday afternoon in the research library at the Historical Society.
His greatest enjoyments besides his family were reading, history, bird watching, nature & traveling.
Surviving besides his wife are son & daughter-in-law Robert & Carla Farver of Wildomar, CA, daughter Jennifer L. Farver of Westminster, Grandchildren Maggie & Graham Wunder, Westminster, MD, Emily & Rylee Farver of Wildomar, CA., brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.
He was pre-deceased by daughter Erinn Elizabeth Farver, brother Martin Farver, sister AnnaJean Farver Erline and nephew Gregory L. Erline.
A Memorial Service will be help of Sunday, November 24, 2013 at 2 pm at Wards Chapel UM Church at 11023 Liberty Road, Randallstown. Interment will be private.
