Richard Spencer Price, age 85, of Windsor Mill, MD, died Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at Season’s Hospice @ Northwest Hospital Center in Randallstown, MD.
He was born January 4, 1929 in Baltimore, MD the son of the late G. Roland Price and the late S. Madeline Spencer Price.
He was the husband of the late Patricia Peach Price.
He served in the US Air Force from 1950-1954 as a Staff Sgt. He was the owner of Price Trail Insurance Agency. He was a member of the Randallstown/ Pikesville Lions Club and a member of Piney Branch Golf Club and played tennis at Greenspring Racquet Club. He attended University of Maryland College Park where he was lettered in both Tennis and Track & Field.
He was the father of Richard Price, Jr. of Owings Mills, Deborah Vance and husband Daniel of Baton Rouge, LA, Teresa Vogel and husband William of Westminster, MD, Katherine Gillis and husband James of Severn, MD, and William Roland Price and wife Kellie of Hamilton, VA.
Brother of- Bobbie Luther of Hilton Head, SC, Nancy Schade of Fairfax, VA., also survived by brother in law and sister in law William and Laverne Peach and brother in law Leonard Mumma.
Grandfather of Kerrie Hair and Joe, Rebecca MacMorran and Jason, Kevin Vogel and Amy, Katherine Leppo and Tim, Jason Sagel and Stacie, Jennifer Sagel, and Collin Price.
Great grandchildren- B. Ian MacMorran and Evan MacMorran, Joss and Declan Hair, Sebastian and Esme Vogel, Kayla and Hunter Leppo, Cole and Jordyn Sagel.
Gathering of family and friends will be held at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, PA, 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Sykesville (Beside South Carroll High School) on Sunday, August 17, 2014 from 11:00-1:00 PM. Funeral Service will begin at 1:30 PM at Mt Olive United Methodist Church 5115 Old Court Rd. Randallstown, MD 21133 with Pastor Mark Johnson of Mt. Olive U.M. Church in Randallstown officiating.
Inurnment will be in Mt. Olive U.M. Church Cemetery, Randallstown, MD.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions can be made to: American Diabetes Association or the Special Olympics.
