Rev. Ellen Barnes Muller, 85 of Thurmont, MD died in her home Thursday, October 22, 2015 of natural causes. She was the first Born of two daughters of Moses and Carrie Barnes of Gamber, MD. She was born July 18, 1930 in Baltimore, MD. She is preceded in death as of September 11, 2015 by her younger sister, Carrie Irene Johnson of Deer Park, MD
Mrs. Muller graduated from Westminster High, received nursing training at MD General Hospital and completed the Course of Study through Wesley Seminary, as well as credits through Shepherd University and was licensed to teach through the Baltimore Washington UM Conference.
Mrs. Muller was a servant to the Lord as well as a farmer’s wife, mother, Assistant Trust Officer of Carroll County Bank, grandmother, great-grandmother., daycare provider, and conducted UMC Pastoral services to churches in the Harper’s Ferry/ Sandy Hook area and on Virginia’s Eastern Shore.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 66 years, Robert Edward Muller, Sr., and her children: Robert E. Muller, Jr. and his wife Maryam, James E. Muller, Gary L. Muller and his wife Lynn, Steven M. Muller and his wife Brenda, Mark D. Muller, Sr. and Karen Swope and her husband Shane; as well as sixteen grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, and 3 daughter-in-laws that are no longer in marriage, but are still a part of this wonderful family.
Mrs. Muller is also preceded in death but joined together in everlasting life with her beloved son, Daniel M. Muller (passed on November 1987) and dear grandson, Jonathan Gary Muller (passed Dec 22, 2014)

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, October 27, 2015 10 AM at Calvary United Methodist Church, 3939 Gamber Rd.
