Pauline Louise (Will) Welsh
of Mount Airy, MD., passed away peacefully at Chestertown Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Chestertown, MD., on November 16, 2012 at the age of 94.
Born in Salem, MD., on December 20, 1917 she was the daughter of Arthur F. Will and Renie L (Buckingham) Will. They later moved to Winfield, MD., where she lived with her parents and brother, Thomas A. Will.
She attended Winfield Elementary School and graduated from Mount Airy High School in 1935.
She married Le Roy F. Welsh on March 17, 1936 and enjoyed 63 years of marriage together. Pauline was very fond of all the chickens she raised over the years on the farm and enjoyed sharing her home remedies and recipes with her grandchildren. She loved spending time with her family, especially during the holidays, canning vegetables from the garden that she and Roy worked diligently, and quilting with friends. Pauline was a member of Taylorsville United Methodist Church, Taylorsville, MD.
She was predeceased by her brother, husband, one grandchild, one great-grandchild and three son-in-laws. She is survived by three daughters, Shirley Welsh Fleming and Charlotte Welsh Twenty of Mount Airy, MD, and Patty Welsh Elgin of Worton, MD., eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home and Crematory, P.A. 1212 W. Old Liberty Rd. Winfield, Maryland on November 20th. from 10am to 12pm at which funeral services will take place at the funeral home. 12 pm. Interment will be at Mount Olive United Methodist Church, Mount Airy, MD.
