Nancy M. McFarland, 84, of Eldersburg
Nancy McFarland, 84, of Eldersburg, Maryland, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, March 4, 2018. Born on March 31, 1933 in Randallstown, she was the daughter of the late Irvin and Grace (nee Pobletts) Kahmer of Pikesville, Maryland. She was the wife of the late John “Tad” McFarland, her husband of 65 years.
A 1951 graduate of Milford Mill High School, she enjoyed a career in education at Eldersburg and Carrolltowne Elementary Schools. She also enjoyed serving as the Sunday School Superintendent at Wesley Freedom Methodist Church, Eldersburg. She was a loyal member of the Glitterbugs tap dance team for 10 years. A dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother, she was a member of Covenant of Grace Presbyterian Church in Reisterstown.
She is survived by her son Doug McFarland and his wife Karen of Westminster MD, her son Bret McFarland and his wife Terri of Knoxville MD, her grandchildren Scott McFarland and his wife Abby, Olivia Marks and her husband David, Kim and Katie McFarland, her great granddaughter Hannah McFarland, her brother Robert Kahmer of Kent Island MD and her sister Linda McCormick of Dagsboro, DE.
She was preceded in death by her husband, twin siblings Phillip and Annie Kahmer, and granddaughter, Allison McFarland.
A Memorial service in her honor will be held on Saturday, April 7th, 11:30am at Covenant of Grace Presbyterian Church, 820 Nicodemus Road, Reisterstown MD, 21136.
