Nancy Lee Carver

Nancy Lee Carver (nee Bongiovani), 84 of Sykesville, MD formerly of Ellicott City, MD passed away on Sunday, June 15, 2025.

She was the beloved wife of the late William “Bill” Henry Carver for 59 years.

Nancy was born June 17, 1940, in Baltimore, MD, the daughter of the late Benedict Bongiovani and the late Barbara Bongiovani (nee Hupp).

After graduation from Towson Teachers College, Nancy went on to teach at Johnny Cake Elementary School for Baltimore County Public Schools until she stopped to care for her children. Nancy was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church in Clarksville; MD. Nancy took pride in participating in both the Howard County Newcomer Club and Howard County Garden Club. She also enjoyed hosting her friends for Mahjong at her long-time residence in Ellicott City, MD.

She is survived by her two sons William Thomas Carver & wife Shawne Davida Carver and children Pierce Ryan Carver & Elise Renay Carver; and her other son Benedict Lucian Carver & wife Jennifer Elizabeth Carver and children Emily Elizabeth Carver and Allison Lee Carver. Also survived by her siblings; Thomas Bongiovani, Donna Fertitta (nee Bongiovani) and Steven Bongiovani.

The family will receive family and friends on Monday, July 7, 2025, from 11:45 AM to 12:45 PM at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A. 1212 West Old Liberty Road Sykesville, MD 21784 (Beside South Carroll High School); with Funeral Service starting at 12:45 PM.
