Michael Grier Pond

Michael Grier Pond, 85 of Mt. Airy, MD passed away on Sunday, June 1, 2025.
Born on May 30, 1940, in Tallula, Illinois, the son of the late Stanley & Edna Pond.
Michael had a distinguished career, serving at the Department of Defense. He was also a proud veteran of the United States Air Force. A graduate of Western Illinois University. He was a devoted Father, Husband and Patriot.
Michael is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Jean Pond, and their children: son Michael Knowlen Pond of Mt. Airy, MD; daughter Erin Hogan of Westminster; and son Ryan Pond of Sykesville, MD. He is also mourned by his daughter-in-law, Amy Pond, as well as his granddaughters, Allison and Emily Pond, Courtneigh Hogan, and grandson, Louis Hogan V.
Visitation services will be held on June 5, 2025, at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A. in Sykesville, Maryland, beginning at 2:00- 4:00 PM and 6:00- 7:00 PM. A Celebration of Life will commence at 7:00 PM, allowing friends and family to honor Michael's memory together.
A graveside service will be conducted the following day, June 6, 2025, at Garrison Forest Veterans Cemetery in Owings Mills, Maryland, starting at 10:45 AM.
