Michael “Mike” Patrick Gartland, 62
Mike beloved husband, son, father, grandfather, brother & friend. Passed away on Monday, November 10, 2025, after a brief battle with cancer. Born March 18, 1963, in Baltimore, MD the son of Jean Gartland and the late Joseph Gartland, Jr.
His greatest joy was his family, especially his grandchildren. He loved spending time on the water; boating, crabbing and fishing. Mike worked as a master plumber living his life by the motto we work hard so we can play hard! Although at his job he was a plumber, he could do anything with his hands.
Surviving in addition to his mother is his wife, Karen Gartland; daughter Katie Gartland & David; stepson Bryan & wife Ashley. Grandfather, of Jameson, Giuliana, Lucas, Nolan, Alexandra and Brendan. Brother of Scott Gartland, Eric Gartland, Wendy Hundertmark & husband Keith, Chris Gartland & wife Stephanie. Also survived by numerous nieces & nephews.
Proceeded in death by his brother Joseph “Joey” Gartland, III and his niece Shelbe Hundertmark.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 23, 2025, at the VFW in Westminster at 519 Poole Road Westminster, MD 21157 with a memorial service at 1:30 PM with a Celebration of Life to follow (gathering) until 4 PM.
