She was born January 21, 1958 in Washington, DC the daughter of the late Joseph M. and Mary C. Parker Lyons.
Loved her grand babies and her girls.
Devoted mother of Caitie Dodson and Paul Miller of Mt. Airy and Debbie Dodson of Mt. Airy. Cherished grandmother of Jordyn and Torsten.
Dear sister of Patrick “Pat” Lyons, Edward “Eddie” Lyons, William “Bill” Lyons and Michael Lyons.
Also survived by many other family and friends.
A Memorial Mass will be said on Tuesday, September 19, 2017 11 AM at St. Michaels Poplar Springs Catholic Church. Inurnment to be private at Poplar Springs Cemetery at a later date. One of Mary's greatest passions was watching her granddaughter thrive through self-confidence, discipline and community service. Jordyn has expressed this and so much more through her martial arts training with HiYA Studio. The extensive inspiration, encouragement and pride Mary provided Jordyn will live on through continuing the education at HiYa Studio.
