Margaret Thornburg

Margaret C. “Peggy” Thornburg (nee Cochran), age 83, of Mt. Airy, MD, died Tuesday, May 03, 2011 at Copper Ridge in Sykesville, MD. She was born May 16, 1927 in Sheldon, Iowa, the daughter of the late Harry Cochran and the late Pearl Peterson Cochran. She was the wife of Harold D. Thornburg of Mt. Airy. She was the mother of Leslie Thornburg of Mt. Airy. She was the sister of the late Thomas Cochran. She was the grandmother of Matthew P. Thornburg. She loved birds and the outdoors. She was a member of the Herb Society of America. She taught Science. Friends may call at the Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, PA, 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Winfield (Beside South Carroll High School) on Thursday from 6-8 PM. Funeral Service will be held at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, PA on Fri., May 6, 2011 at 10:30 AM with the Rev. Dennis Yocum of Calvary U.M. Church in Mt. Airy officiating. Further viewing will be held at Vander Ploeg Funeral Home, 724 Sixth Ave., Sheldon, Iowa. Graveside service in East Lawn Cemetery, Sheldon, Iowa.
