Margaret E. (Dorsey) Oursler, age 95 of Manchester, MD, formerly of Randallstown, MD, passed away on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at Lorien Taneytown.

Born on March 15, 1930, in Baltimore, MD, she was the first of five children of the late Frederick H. and Katherine L. (Jones) Dorsey.

Peggy was a graduate of Catonsville High School, Class of 1948, where she met the love of her life, L. Gerald “Jerry” Oursler, her husband of 59 years, who passed away in 2009.

You could find Jerry and Peggy always dancing together, most frequently on Saturday nights at the Last Chance Saloon. Peggy was a homemaker who enjoyed decorating her homes, reading, going on cruises, watching the Orioles and Ravens, and being a mom to her many fur-babies, especially her dog Katie. She also enjoyed visits from her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In 2013 Peggy married Richard Swimm, a loving companion until her death.

She is survived by daughters Brenda J. Petzold (George), and Nancy L. Wagner (Jack) and a son, L. Wayne Oursler (Donna), as well as 8 grandchildren, Brian, Lisa, Scott, Greg, Brady, Jacob, Hayden, and Darcy. Additionally, she was blessed with 9 great-grandchildren, Lila, Allison, Hudson, Amy, Charlie, Branson, Georgie, Logan, and Amelia.

Peggy is also survived by two sisters, Catherine Beverly and Helen Wilson and a brother, Fred H. Dorsey, Jr., along with several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by a brother, Donald H. Dorsey.

There will be no interment. Friends and family are welcome to attend a celebration of life to be held on Sunday, April 26, 2026, from 1-4 pm at the Burrier-Queen Funeral Home and Crematory, PA., located at 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Sykesville, MD 21784.
