Lois Constance "Connie" Courpas

Lois Constance “Connie” Courpas (Benner) age 92, of Westminster, Maryland, born in Baltimore, Maryland on March 11, 1933, the daughter of the late Harry Donald Benner and the late Constance H. Morris, peacefully passed at Dove House on May 14, 2025. Connie was predeceased by loving husband of 52 years, William “Bill” Angelo Courpas, who passed February 7, 2005. Connie was a homemaker who is survived by 6 children, whom she raised with love; Corynne B. Courpas of Westminster MD, Charlene Tote Vidi and husband David of Mt. Airy, MD, Cheryl and husband Steve Lawson (deceased) of New Windsor, MD, Bill and wife Nancy Courpas of Manchester, MD, Connie and husband Kurt Ditzel of North Port, FL, and Caryn and husband Philip Leary of Westminster, MD; loving Mom Mom to 19 amazing grandchildren, and Great Mom-Mom to 23 beautiful great-grandchildren. Connie, Bill and family treasured years of friendships and service to the community through great food and fellowship at their family restaurant, the Frisco Family Pub in Westminster, and she continued to make friends throughout Carroll County as a previous member of Elders Baptist Church, resident of Eldersburg, and most recently a resident of Westminster. Connie was a woman of faith who loved all of God’s creatures, particularly the beauty of birds and wildlife experienced while living in Maryland and Florida with her beloved husband and children over the years. Connie enjoyed working at Johns Hopkins and Baltimore Gas and Electric in her earlier years, highlighting her artistic gifts, before dedicating her life to raising 6 children. She enjoyed 9 years of retirement in Florida and returned to Maryland in 2005 to continue her retired life.

Friends may call at the Burrier-Queen Funeral Home and Crematory, PA, 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Sykesville, MD 21784 (beside South Carroll High School) on Monday May 19, 2025, from 3:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00. Funeral Service will be held at Burrier Queen on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at 10:00 am, interment to follow at Loudon Park Cemetery, followed by a luncheon at Burrier-Queen, where friends and family may share memories of Connie.

Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to Bridging Life Hospice Care, 292 Stoner Ave., Westminster, MD 21157; who supported her passing with faith, compassion, peace, and comfort.
