Lawrence H. Loats, age 81, of Swann Keys, DE, died Sunday March 21, 2004 at his home.
He was born November 4, 1922 in Baltimore, MD the son of the late Herbert C. Loats and the late Beatrice Bertha Loats (nee Parks).
He was a Sales Manager for Metropolitan Life Insurance Company. He was a Life Member of VFW#7234 Ocean View, DE. And a member of the American Legion #166 in Ocean City, MD. He was a Life Member of the Sharon Lodge #182 A.F. & A.M. He was a member of St. Matthew’s U.M. Church By the Sea in Fenwick Island. He served in the Army Air Force during WWII.
He was the husband of Mary L. Loats (nee Nippard).
He was the father of Deborah L. Brune of Willards, MD, Stepfather of M. Colleen King, Susan D. Middleton and Paul L. Drnec.
Brother of Betty Lou Eaton
Loving grandfather of Jason G. and Christopher C. Kramer.
Step grandfather of Kristen J., A. Rebecca King, Lisa M., Matthew D., J. Michael Middleton, Jake E., Daniel L., David V. Drnec.
Great grandfather of Jayla Rose Kramer
Step great grandfather of Fergus S. Wylie.
Funeral Service will be held Wednesday March 24, 2004 at 10:00 A.M. at Burrier-Queen Funeral Directors, P.A., 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Winfield (Beside South Carroll High School)
Private Interment
Friends may call at the Burrier-Queen Funeral Home on Tuesday From 7-9 PM also a memorial service Sharon Lodge #182 A.F. & A.M. will be held at 7:30 PM
