Kimberly Ann Berkow (née Miller), born September 15, 1960, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 6th, 2026, while in the gentle care of hospice, surrounded by love.
Kim was the devoted and cherished wife of Nathan Berkow for 43 beautiful years. She was a proud and adoring mother to Jennifer Zepeda (Luis) of New Orleans, Louisiana, and Andrew Berkow (Stephanie) of Satellite Beach, Florida. Her heart was also full of love for her dear sisters, Susie De Vincenzo (Ritchie) and Sharon Kenney (David), who were lifelong companions through every chapter of her life. Kim was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Patricia and Dean Miller, who gave her the foundation of kindness and grace that she always carried with her.
Though Kim has left this world, she knew that a precious gift was on the horizon — her first grandchild, Daphne Isidora, expected in May 2026 to Jennifer and Luis in New Orleans.
To countless children and families in Westminster, Maryland, Kim was simply "Miss Kim.” For 31 years, she showed up every single day as a daycare provider, pouring her heart into the little ones in her care, offering them safety, laughter, and a gentle guiding hand.
At home and at heart, Kim was happiest surrounded by the things she loved: the magic of Harry Potter, the smell of something sweet baking in the oven, the artistry of a beautifully decorated cake, and above all, the company of her family. She had a gift for making ordinary moments feel special, and for making every person in the room feel seen and cared for.
Kim was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend, and she will be deeply missed.
A gathering will be on Saturday, July 11, 2026, from 10 – 11 AM with a celebration of Life Service starting at 11 AM at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home, located at 1212 W Old Liberty Rd, Sykesville, MD 21784.
