Kenneth Owen Dyer

Kenneth Owen Dyer, 75, of Mt. Airy, MD passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 8, 2026.

The beloved husband of the late Alice Virginia Dyer (nee Sexton) for 56 years.

Born September 11, 1950, in New Jersey, the son of the late Vincent DePaul Dyer, Sr. and the late Doris Claire Dyer (nee Sharkey).

He was a proud Veteran of the United States Navy. He worked for Jeff Barnes Chevrolet as a General Manager and also as an operation manager at Monsters Racing. He enjoyed going golfing with his friends. He was the dedicated poppy to his 2 granddaughters.

He is survived by his son Joshua Ryan Dyer of Mt. Airy, MD, his sister Terri Jackson and husband Doug and brother Joel Dyer & wife Karen, and his granddaughters Savannah and Caroline.

He was preceded in death by Vincent DePaul Dyer, Jr.

The family will receive friends on Monday, April 13, 2026, from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory 1212 West Old Liberty Road Sykesville, MD 21784.

Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at 11 AM at St. Peter’s Catholic Church 9201 Green Valley Rd Union Bridge, MD 21791.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Carroll County Veterans Independence Project 95 Carroll St, Suite 104 Westminster, MD 21157
