Joy Lynn Hands (nee Upton), age 75, of Mt. Airy, MD, died, Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at Carroll Hospital Center in Westminster, MD.
She was born December 25, 1938 in Baltimore, MD the daughter of Doris Pauline Smith (nee Weidman) of Mt. Airy and the late Edwin Upton.
She was the wife of the late Kenneth Hands who died on May 2, 2013.
She was a nurse at Carroll County General Hospital in Westminster. She was a member of Mt. Airy Full Gospel Church in Mt. Airy. She enjoyed baking and Crafts.
She was the mother of Deborah and Charles Lusco of York, PA and David and Amy Hands of Westminster and the late Kenneth Allen Hands.
She was the sister of- Fred Nilsen of Pasadena, MD and the late Nils Nilsen.
She was the grandmother of- Madison and Megan Hands, Joy Rose Lusco, and Jason Lusco.
Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held Sunday, January 19, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Mt. Airy Full Gospel Church, 13949 Penn Shop Road, Mt. Airy, MD 21771 with Pastor Thomas Gue officiating.
Graveside Interment Monday, January 20, 2014 at 10:30 am at Druid Ridge Cemetery in Pikesville, MD.
