Died Sunday November 11, 2012 at his Son’s home in Mt. Airy, MD
He was the spouse of Dorothy “Dot” Walz for over 61 years.
He was born June 14, 1930 in Baltimore, MD the son of the late John Walz and the late Rose (Vasik) Walz
Mr. Walz was a Professional Baseball Player, pitching for the Wilmington Blue Rocks and later with the Philadelphia Phillies. He had worked for Baltimore Typing and composition Company. Served in the US Army during the Korean War. Was co-owner with his father of Walz Egg Ranch before retiring to Beverly Hills, FL where he was a handy man for numerous friends. He was also a talented Amateur Artist
Surviving in addition to his wife is a Son Bruce John Walz of Mt. Airy.
A Gathering of Friends will take place Saturday November 17, 2012 2 to 4 PM at BURRIER-QUEEN FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, P.A., 1212 W. Old Liberty Rd. Winfield, MD 21784.
