John Edward Fitze, age 64, formerly of Mt. Airy, died Sunday May 18, 2008 at Garrett County Memorial Hospital in Oakland, MD. He was born February 22, 1944 in Frederick, MD the son of the late Stewart Edward Fitze and the late Grace Elizabeth Fitze (nee Hamilton). He was the husband of the late Cornie Marie Fitze. He was a Landscaper. He was the father of Kevin Mathis of West Friendship. He was the brother of Barbara McDonald of Sykesville, Paul E. Fitze of Mt. Airy, Anna Kilby of Mt. Airy and the late Mary Fitze. Funeral Service will be held Thursday May 22, 2008 at 11:00 AM at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, PA, 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Winfield (Beside South Carroll High School) with the Rev. William A. Phebus of Sharon Missionary Baptist Church in West Friendship officiating. Interment True Gospel Cemetery, Lisbon, MD. Friends may call at the Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, PA on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM.
