JoAnn Kay White, 84, passed away peacefully on December 26, 2025. She was born on August 8,1941 to LeRoy and Lucile Hansen of Frankfort, IL. JoAnn lived a life full of laughter, friendship, and love.

JoAnn was married to the love of her life, Garrett E. White, on June 17, 1961. Their marriage was the foundation of a life rich in shared adventures, lasting friendships, and deep family bonds.

She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Garrett; her daughter, Kelly J. Harrison and her husband Greg, son Garrett B. White and his wife Jennifer; and her cherished grandson, Tyler A. Harrison, who proudly held a most special place in her heart. JoAnn is also survived by her sister, Juanita Sigg, and her husband Ted, along with her beloved nieces and nephews: Ronnie, Bobby, DeeDee, Todd, and Kristy. Her cousin Judy Hageman was not only her cousin but a best friend.

JoAnn loved life and embraced it fully. She was an avid Bridge player and enjoyed the friendships that came with many years at the card table. Travel was one of her greatest joys, and she and Garrett explored the world with curiosity and excitement. Closer to home, some of her happiest times were spent camping across the United States in their motorhome with dear friends, making memories along the way.

She was a long-time member of the Elks Lodge in El Cajon, California, where she formed lasting friendships and remained actively involved in the community she loved.

JoAnn had a fondness for all things purple and a remarkable love of music, especially Elvis and church hymns. She seemed to know the words to nearly every song and was always happy to sing along. She had a beautiful voice.

JoAnn will be remembered for her warmth, her laughter, her love of friends and family, and the way she made everyday moments brighter. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
