Jean Sirk

Jean Deloris Sirk, 79, of Woodbine, MD died peacefully at the Dove House, Westminster, MD surrounded by family on March 15, 2014. She was the wife of the late Raymond W. Sirk.
Born in Washington, DC, April 1, 1934, she was the daughter of the late William and Elizabeth Satterwhite.
Jean will be remembered for her love of baking and cooking, crocheting and playing cards and bingo with her family and friends. But mostly she will be remembered for the unconditional love and support that she showed to her family.
She is survived by sons Warren Sirk and wife Peggy of Walkersville, MD; Michael Sirk and wife Mary of Mount Airy, MD; daughter Linda Main of Woodbine, MD; sisters Ruth Hansberger of Frederick, MD and Shirley Turner of Dallas, TX; son-in-law Robert Hedlund of Mount Airy, MD; eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter Brenda Hedlund, sisters Virginia Dugan and Ruby Satterwhite and brother Donald Satterwhite.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, March 19 at 11:00 a.m. at True Gospel Cemetery, North Avenue, Lisbon, MD with the Rev. Irvin Martin, of Mount Airy Mennonite Church officiating.
Memorial donations may be made to Carroll Hospice at 292 Stoner Avenue, Westminster, MD, 21157.
Arrangements are being handled by Burrier-Queen Funeral Home and Crematory of Winfield, MD.
