James Pickett

James Ernest Pickett, 84 of Mt. Airy , died Friday July 20, 2007 at Lorien of Mt. Airy. He was the spouse of the late Frances Lusetta Moxley Pickett. He was born January 30, 1923 in Long Corner, MD the son of the late Harry William Pickett and Florrie Mullinix Pickett. He was a retired Electrician at Bethesda Navel Hospital . Mr. Pickett used to own and operate an Antique Shop, Loved to Shoot Pool and Bowl. Surviving him are Sister and brother-in-law Doris and Webster Utz of Long Corner, MD. Step Daughters: Janet Barnes of Westminster and Joyce Gardner of Dillsburg , PA and numerous other relatives. Preceded in death by brothers; W. Donald and Marshall E. Pickett. Funeral Services will be held Monday July 23, 2007 11 AM at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home and Crematory, P.A., 1212 W. Old Liberty Rd. Winfield , MD 21784 . Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery , Frederick, MD. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 5 to 7 PM.
