Jack Riley

Jack Russel Riley (“Russ”), 64 of Thurmont, suddenly entered heaven on May 1, 2026. He was a loving dad, son, brother, uncle, and friend to everyone.

He was the dear son of the late Margaret Taylor Riley ("Grammy") and Jack Samuel Riley.

He is survived by four children, Shawn Kopper, Brandon Kopper, Haley Kopper (“Bird”), and Savannah Riley, four siblings, Chris Greenwell, Colleen Takach, Cindy McGiffin, Jim "Pat" Riley, and a beloved member of the community.

As a professional house painter, Jack touched many lives in ways much bigger than a paintbrush ever could. He was an avid animal lover, volunteer, and left behind two rescue dogs, Cash and Kali. Jack could be seen driving his Harley Davidson or his iconic orange Bronco, always covered in paint with a big smile on his face. Jack lived for the thrill, during his lifetime he had experiences ziplining and even skydiving! He was loved by many and will truly be missed by all. 

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
