Hershel Chewning

Hershel F. Chewning, age 87, of New Windsor, formerly of Woodlawn, died Tuesday July 6, 2010 at Woods at Sun Valley in Westminster, MD. He was born September 1, 1922 in Stone Mountain, GA the son of the late Carmen Lester Chewning and the late Paula E. Taylor Chewning. He was the husband of the late Joel Storie Chewning. He worked for the Schmidt Baking Company and Capitol Lake Company in the maintenance department. He was the father of Stephen E. Chewning and wife Donna of New Windsor. He was the grandfather of Kristine Davoli and Keri Aponte and great grandfather of Wil and Tyler. Inurnment and Graveside service will be held Monday July 12, 2010 at 1:30 PM at Woodlawn Cemetery with the Rev. Sarah B. Dorrance of Taylorsville U.M. Church officiating.
