On July 6, 2025 Hazel Grace Jasper went home to be with her Lord. She was the daughter of the late Millard J. (Jake) Haines and Hazel Barnhart Haines of Westminster, MD. Sister to the late Martha Haines Norris of Beulah CO.

Born March 3, 1929, in Westminster, she graduated from Westminster High School in 1946, and from Baltimore Business College in 1949. Hazel was married for 41 years to the late John Sarigianis. Together they raised 4 children and worked side by side to build a successful business, the John Sarigianis Co. Hazel was married for 5 years to the late Mario Giampaolo. Mario shared her interest in square dancing, and he taught her about winemaking and Italian cooking. Hazel then married Kenneth Jasper, they shared 26 happy years together.

Hazel is survived by her husband Kenneth Jasper and children Christine Pecore and her husband Rick of Wake Forest, NC, Steven Sarigianis and his wife Patty of Annandale, VA, John Sarigianis and his special friend Michelle Grimm of Finksburg, MD Jim Sarigianis and his wife Patti of Joppa, MD. Grandmother to Elaine Fleming, Christopher Pecore, Paul Sarigianis, Mark Sarigianis, Beth Kinney, Christopher Sarigianis, Allyson Hornung and Ryan Sarigianis, and great grandmother to 15 energetic blessings.

Hazel enjoyed reading, painting with watercolors and knitting. She was an active participant in many bible study groups over her many years. As a young mother, she planned many camping trips with her family across the United States. As each of her grandchildren graduated from high school she took them on a cruise to a country of their choice. In her later years Hazel loved snow birding with Ken to Bonita Springs FL for as long as their health permitted. In 2012 Hazel and Ken made the decision to move to Integrace Fairhaven Retirement Community. The assisted living staff at the facility took loving care of Hazel and eased her last days, the family will be forever grateful to them.

Services will be held on Monday July 14 at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home, 1212 West Old Liberty Rd Sykesville, MD. Family will receive friends from 10 am – 12 pm, service to immediately follow. Burial to follow at Leisters Church in Westminster MD.
