Geraldine “Gerri” Joan Darling, age 64 of Finksburg, MD died, Thursday, March 15, 2018 at Seasons Hospice Facility. Gerri was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth D. Darling. She was born May 30, 1953, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Vestal Yelton of Sykesville. She was a retired LPN.
Mrs. Darling is survived by her son Chris (Beth) Darling of Virginia Beach, VA, her brother Marvin (Emma) of Westminster, her sister Patsy (Ronnie) Ash of Edgewater, FL, and her grandchildren, Carrie Grace Darling and Hannah Joy Darling, of Virginia Beach, VA. Preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Mallory of Westminster
Mrs. Darling was a dedicated daughter, loyal sister, devoted mother, and loving grandmother. Her family was her life. She was truly the happiest when she was surrounded by the family that she held so dear to her heart. While she will be dearly missed, we are so happy for her that she is reunited with her husband.
Services will be conducted at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, PA., 1212 W Old Liberty Road, Sykesville, MD., 21784 (Beside South Carroll High School) on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at 11:00 with Rev. Christopher Darling of Virginia Beach presiding.
Interment will be in Lake View Memorial Park with Rev. Adam Frye of Virginia Beach presiding.
The family will receive friends at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, PA., from 3-5 and 7-9 PM on Monday, March 19, 2018.
