Genevieve B.”Gen” Miller (nee Scriba), age 95, formerly of Catonsville, died, Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at St. Joseph’s Nursing Home in Catonsville, MD.
Gen was born May 5th, 1918 in Baltimore, Maryland, the daughter of the late Henry Scriba and the late Genevieve Dove Scriba.
Genevieve, “Gen” was 95 and spent most of her life in Catonsville raising 6 children, with the exception of the time living in France while her husband was serving in the military. Genevieve was employed by Kirk-Stieff Silver Company as a retail associate and worked a number of years in retail at The Hecht Co. She was an avid writer who enjoyed passing on her memories of her younger days living in Baltimore, having one of her pieces reprinted in the Baltimore Sunpapers. Gen was an active member of St. Joseph’s Monastery assisting in the various church activities. Gen spent her final days in the excellent and loving care of the Sisters at St. Joseph’s Nursing Home in Catonsville.
Predeceased by loving husband Grant W. Miller Sr. and Daughter Elizabeth Ann Ehrhart
Survived by sons, Dennis and wife Kathlyn, Gregory and wife Renee, Grant W. Jr. (Woody) and Marie Miller, Kevin and wife Mary Miller, daughter, Mary Margaret Schrieffer and husband Jeffery
Also survived by 15 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
