Gae Frances Higgs (nee Oates), age 97, of Littlestown, PA, Formerly of Eldersburg, died Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at Morning Glory Personal Care in Littlestown, PA.
She was born October 11, 1919 in Alberton, Maryland, the daughter of the late Loring Oates and the late Rosie Ella Oates (nee Sherman).
She was the wife of the late Melvin Clarence Higgs.
She was the mother of Kenneth E. Higgs and wife Pauline of Finksburg, Melvin R. Higgs and wife Patricia L. of Littlestown, PA, and Lois K. Knight and husband Thomas G. of Eldersburg.
Sister of Leroy Oates, and the late Clifton (Buck) Oates, late Roger Oates, and late Gladys Rohrback; also survived by 9 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 20 great great grandchildren; predeceased by grandson Martin R. Higgs.
Her loving family of 5 generation, worked at Sewing Factory CR Daniels as a machine operator till 1972, and then she was retired from Noxell Corporation-Proctor Gamble working on the Assembly Line from 1986 till retiring.

Old Liberty Road, Sykesville (Beside South Carroll High School) on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM and on Friday from 10:00-11:00 AM and where Funeral Service will be held on Friday, February 24, 2017 at 11:00 AM; Interment Good Shepherd Cemetery, Ellicott City, MD.
