Frederick Eckrich

Frederick G. Eckrich 74 of Mt. Airy, MD, died Saturday August 4, 2012 at home after a battle with Pancreatic Cancer . He was the spouse of Nancy Lee (McMillion) Eckrich for nearly 48 years. Mr. Eckrich was born November 15, 1937 in Milwaukie, WI the son of the late Willard P. and Retha (Johnson) Eckrich. Mr. Eckrich was a cable Splicer for Verizon for 39 years. A Veteran of the US Army Reserves , liked to play golf and was a member of the Miscus Golf League. Surviving are Sister and Brother-in-law Joan and Ralph Steick of Arendtsville, PA, Nephew Eric Steick of Aspers, PA, Nephew Mark Steick of Arendtsville, PA. Catholic Prayers will be said on Thursday August 9, 2012 11:00 AM at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home and Crematory, P.A., 1212 W. Old Liberty Rd. Winfield, MD 21784 Interment to follow in Pine Grove Cemetery Mt. Airy, MD the family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM.
