Evelyn Marie Fountain, 83 of Mt. Airy, MD who had resided at Vindobona Nursing Home for the past four years. Passed away after a brief illness surrounded by her family. Evelyn was born February 17, 1933 in Marriottsville, MD She was the daughter of the late Arthur and late Lillian (Sellman) Hobbs. She is preceded in death by her husband the late Carl Fountain, Sr. who she married on December 16, 1955.
Mrs. Fountain was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening, canning, embroidery, refinishing furniture, yard sales, and had a great love for animals.
Devoted mother of Marsha and Edwin Zimmerman of New Market , Anita Moxley Morgan and companion Michael Gist of Westminster, MD and the late Frederick Carl Fountain, Jr. Dear sister of Shirley Wilson of Sykesville, Beatrice Beachy(Wilmer) of New Market, Betty Jenkins (Harry) of Union Bridge and Thomas Hobbs of Mt. Airy and the late Charles, late Barbara and late Linda Hobbs. Loving grandmother of Angela Cole(Kevin) of Mt. Airy, Dawn Zimmerman of New Market, George Moxley, Jr.(Katie) of Finksburg, MD , Michael Moxley (Stephanie) of New Market, Christopher Moxley(Amber) of Shallotte, NC, and Brittany Moxley(fiancée Bradley Lookingbill) of Union Bridge, MD. Also survived by 8 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
