Elizabeth Marie Smith

Elizabeth Marie Smith, 87, of Hampstead, MD, passed away peacefully at her home on April 9, 2026.

Elizabeth was predeceased by her beloved son, Mark Smith; her parents, William and Teresa Libby; and her sister, Carol Sanders.

Elizabeth is loved and remembered by her sons: Karl Dailey (Colleen), Stephen Dailey (Barbara), and William Smith (Angela); her grandchildren: Shannon Brittingham (late husband Geoff), Jessica Whitmore (Stephen), James Dailey, Ashlie Smith (Josel Gabriel Lacayo Arias), and Kyle Smith; and her great-grandchildren: Brendan; and Austin and Noah. She is also remembered by the husband and children of her late sister: Frank Sanders, and Teresa and the late Kimberly Sanders. All of whom she loved dearly.

In addition to her family life, Elizabeth was known to have a tireless work ethic and spent many years working at the law office of Brian Blitz, where she enjoyed working with the entire team. Elizabeth shared a special bond with both Brian and her dear colleague, Denise Cohen, and they both remained a meaningful part of her life.

Elizabeth's wishes for a quiet remembrance will be observed by her family gathering for a private ceremony in her honor.
