Doris Bush Favret

Doris B. Favret, 78, of Pasadena, MD went home to be with the Lord on July 23, 2025. Doris grew up in Great Bend, PA, and is the daughter of the late Ivan W. and Ruth P. Bush.

Doris relocated to Maryland in the 1980’s where she raised her two sons while building a long and accomplished career as a Registered Nurse - a role in which she cared for others with the same dedication, compassion, and strength she gave to her family. She was a strong and independent woman, known for her unwavering spirit and determination. Yet beneath that strength was a deeply caring and loving heart, always ready to offer kindness, support, and warmth to those around her. She set a remarkable example for her two sons, teaching them the values of hard work, integrity, and love. Through her actions and guidance, she shaped them into the men they are today.

Doris was blessed with five grandchildren, all of whom she adored. Nothing brought her more joy than entertaining them at her home, where she loved to spoil them with treats, laughter, and affection.

She also had a deep love for adventure - whether sailing, scuba diving, or skiing - passions that took her to many incredible places around the world and filled her life with unforgettable experiences.

Doris is survived by her two sons, Jason P. and Joel C. Sackett, daughter-in-law Lisa, five grandchildren (Phillip, Kayla, Sarah, Lorelai, and Stephen), and sister Linda Frailey.
