David L. Dalbey, 61, of Taylorsville, Maryland, unexpectedly passed away on September 28, 2023. He was born on May 18, 1962, in Monroeville, Pennsylvania. David served in the United States Navy from 1982 to 1986. After his military service, he pursued multiple career paths, until he found his niche as a Service Coordinator at Fab Electric where he stayed for 25 years. Recently he found a position with BOPAT electric that he was quite excited about.

David was a loving, generous, and caring individual. He had a passion for traveling, golfing, kayaking, camping, and watching sports, particularly as a devoted fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and Pittsburgh Penguins. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, and his warm personality will be deeply missed.

David is survived by his beloved wife, Jo Ann (Deaton) Dalbey of Taylorsville, Maryland. He is also survived by his brother, Robert Dalbey (Denise) of Murraysville, Pennsylvania; his son, Kyle Smith (Bridget) of McKnightstown, Pennsylvania; his stepdaughters, Sara Wink (Michael) and Brittany Baker (Zachary) of Taylorsville, Maryland; and his cherished grandchildren, Gabrielle and Alexandra Wink, Reese, Quinn, and Luke Baker. David also had loving nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Josephine Pedreira Dalbey, and his father, Theodore Dalbey of Monroeville, Pennsylvania.

David graduated from Gateway Senior High School, Class of 1980, where he met several lifelong friends. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy, where he acquired valuable skills, developed a love for photography, and made lifelong connections.

A CELEBRATION OF LIFE TO BE HELD NOVEMBER 4TH AT THE BOWEN FARM, 4126 MCMULLEN RD. TANEYTOWN, MD 21787 TIME DO BE ANNOUNCED. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project in his memory.
