Clarence Glanville 94, of Taneytown, MD passed away on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at Country Companions.
He was born March 27, 1923 in Baltimore, MD the son of the late Charles Arthur Glanville and the late Marie (nee Germak) Glanville.
He was the loving husband to the late Eva Mae (Cain) Glanville.
Clarence served during World War II in the United States Navy he was stationed in Africa. He then worked as a welder for Rheem and Westinghouse.
He enjoyed collecting antiques especially bottles and pocket Knives. He also enjoyed going to antique shops, flea markets, auctions, gardening and loved country music and western movies. He made delicious homemade black raspberry ice cream that everyone loved.
He was a hardworking, responsible family man that always led by example and was a positive influence to everyone he met. He was also kind, caring, compassionate, friendly and always helped anyone in need. Clarence loved his children and his animals.
He was the loving father to Michael Glanville of Eldersburg, MD and the late Carol Patricia Cook and husband Noel Cook of Woodbine, MD. Devoted brother to Sister Mona Powell, Nellie Creel and predeceased by 5 siblings. Loving grandfather to Matthew Scott Cook of Finksburg, MD.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 31, 2018, from 9-11 AM at the BURRIER-QUEEN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, P.A. 1212 W. Old Liberty Rd. Winfield, MD (Beside South Carroll High School). The funeral service will begin at 11 AM with pastor Garry Glanville officiating.
Interment at Woodlawn Cemetery.
