Carolyn Hewett

Mrs. Carolyn Evelyn Hewett 85 of Eldersburg , MD. Died January 1, 2008 at Carroll Hospital Center . She was born July 25, 1922 in Baltimore , MD. The daughter of the late Henry and late Mary Auth Hamp. She was the spouse of the late Lynn Thompson Hewett in 1994. Her greatest pleasure in life was taking long rides in a car and being around her grandchildren. Many people will remember her for her quick wit and sense of humor. She was a graduate of Forest Park High School and worked at AT & T in Baltimore and also the Holiday Inn in Woodlawn. She is also predeceased by a son-in-law Rev. Bert Benz who died in 1991. Surviving her are her children and their spouses. Tom and Martha Hewett of Easton, MD Michael and Maureen Hewett of Mt. Airy, MD Linda Benz of Forest Hill, MD and daughter-in-law Linda Hewett of Westminster. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday January 9, 2008, 10 AM at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home and Crematory, PA. 1212 W. Old Liberty Rd. Winfield , MD 21784 with the Rev. Richard McCullough of Wesley Freedom United Methodist Church . Interment to follow in Garrison Forest Veterans Cemetery , Owings Mills , MD. The Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday January 8, 2008 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM.
