Carl Layton

Carl E. Layton, age 73, of Woodbine, died Thursday, February 27, 2014 at Carroll Hospital Center in Westminster, MD.
He was born September 22, 1940, the son of the late Earl Edwin Layton and the late Harriett Elizabeth Moyer Layton.
He was a facility service maintenance worker for Montgomery General Hospital. He was in the US Army; He was a member of Jennings Chapel U.M. Church in Woodbine and attended Mt. Airy Bible Church in Mt. Airy, MD.
He was the father of Kimberly Actis and husband John of Woodbine, and Richard Layton of Hagerstown.
He was the brother of Leannah E. Krauss of Florida and Edith E. Nye of Woodbine, Randall Layton and wife Margie of Arizona and the late Eugene E. Layton.
He was the grandfather of Jack, Frank, and Charlie Actis.
Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by longtime companion the late Margaret R. Delph.
Friends may call at the Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, PA, 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Winfield (Beside South Carroll High School) on Tuesday, March 4, 2014 from 5:00-7:00 PM at which time funeral will begin at 7:00 PM with Rev. Keith Surland from Mt. Airy Bible Church in Mt. Airy officiating.
