Betty Ann (Phebus) Smith, 77 of Taneytown, MD
Died Monday February 24, 2014 at her granddaughter’s home.
She was the spouse of the late Reaney S. Smith.
She was born September 8, 1936 in Howard County MD the daughter of the late Roy Phebus and the late Annie (Warfield) Smith.
She was a Seamstress at Mt. Airy Pants Factory, Worked on the family farm, Helped numerous years at both the Libertytown and Mt. Airy Volunteer Departments especially their carnivals. She enjoyed watching Soap Operas such as Day of Our Lives , Wrestling and Wheel of Fortune. Loved her Grandchildren and Great-grandchildren.
Surviving her are Daughter and Son-in-law Kathy Ann and Tony Doreni of Taneytown, Son and Daughter-in-law Craig and Vicky Smith of New Windsor, Daughter and Companion Cynthia Mae Smith and Ken Bourdon of Romney WV. Grandchildren Crystal and Tyrone Cole, Jessica and Dan Connell, Ricky Kisner, Keith Smith, and Travis Smith, Great-grandchildren Kriston, Amir, Tytiana, Jai-lah, Jordan, Natalie, Landon, Ava and Colten. Preceded in death by Sisters Erma Jane Duvall, Lottie Mae Parsley ,Brother Charles Phebus. Grandson Davy Meleo and brother-in-law David Meleo.
The Family will receive friends at BURRIER-QUEEN FUNERAL HOME AND CREMAOTY, P.A, 1212 W. Old Liberty Rd. Winfield, MD on Wednesday 7 to 9PM and Thursday 2 to 4PM and 7 to 9 PM Where Services will be held on Friday February 28, 2014 11 AM. Interment Poplar Springs Cemetery, Poplar Springs, MD.
