"Mr. Will" Wilfred Fleming, age 90, of Mt. Airy, died on Thursday
August 21, 2003 at his home.
He was born April 19, 1913 in Howard County, Watersville, Maryland, where he was
raised, the son of the late Harry B. Fleming, Sr. and the late Estella Elizabeth
Fleming (nee Shoemaker) Smith.
He was a self-employed owner and operator of Fleming's Milk Transportation until
Jan 1981. He was avid duckpin bowler at Mt. Airy Lanes for 58 years.
He was the husband of the late Lottie Virginia Fleming (Harrison).
He was the father of Laura Ann Brown of Mt. Airy and Nancy Louise Alder of
Sykesville, MD
Dear brother of Nelson Leon Fleming of Hagerstown, Flora Richards of Mt. Airy,
Walter J. Fleming of Monrovia, Harry B. Fleming, Jr. of Baltimore, Nellie M.
Brown of Mt. Airy, Hannah E. Knill of Mt. Airy, and the late Gertrude A. Hulver,
the late Shirley Dubel and the late Stanley Eugene Fleming.
Grandchildren: Thomas Esworthy of Lisbon, MD, Russell Brown of Williamsport, MD,
Becky Brown and Richard Brown of Mt. Airy, Joyce Esworthy Kubu of Damascus,
Eddie Alder of Sykesville and Jamie Alder of Sykesville
Great Grandchildren- Blake, Matthew and Morgan Alder all of Sykesville
He was preceded in death by great grandson Thomas Brown, April 9, 2003.
Pallbearers will be Tom Esworthy, Eddie and Jamie Alder, Richard and Becky Brown
and Joyce Esworthy Kubu.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday August 25, 2003 at Burrier-Queen Funeral
Directors, P.A., 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Winfield, MD (Beside South Carroll
High School) at 11:00 AM with Rev. Wallace "Bud" Lusk officiating.
Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery in Mt. Airy, MD.
Friends may call at Burrier-Queen Funeral Directors, P.A., 1212 W. Old Liberty
Road, Winfield, MD (Beside South Carroll High School) on Sunday from 1-4 &
6-9 PM.
Memorial Contributions may be made to Hospice of Frederick County or Mt. Airy
Vol. Fire Company.
