Weston Levi Tegeler-Zimmerman an infant from Westminster died unexpectantly at home January 1, 2009. He was the son of Berry Christopher Zimmerman and Christina Frances Tegeler. He was born December 17, 2008 at Carroll Hospital Center. Surviving in addition to his parents are Brother Wyatt Austin, Grandparents; Theresa Giulioni, Donald and Sue Tegeler, Sr., Berry E. and Vicki Zimmerman and Diana Smith, Great-grandparents: Donna Tegeler, Joan and Stewart Smith, Verna Jean Giulioni-Hill and husband Ralph Hill. Also survived by 2 uncles: Donald Tegeler, Jr. and Daniel Zimmerman and numerous cousins. Also survived by great great grandfather William N. Shelbaer. Preceded in death by Great-grandparents Walter Tegeler, Jr. James and Dorothy Zimmerman and Francis Xavier Giulioni. Interment was Saturday January 3, 2009 in Meadow Branch Cemetery, Westminster, MD. |

Robert S. Pardoe of Woodbine, MD, died Friday January 9, 2009 at Montgomery County General Hospital. He was the Beloved husband of Joan L. Pardoe (nee Neumeyer). He was born January 21, 1931 in Baltimore, MD the son of the late Myrle L. Pardoe, Sr. and the late Lydia Stephan Pardoe. Mr. Pardoe was retired in 1992 after 44 years service with Baltimore Gas and Electric Company, He was a US Army Veteran of the Korean War, a member of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, a lifetime member and Past President of Glenwood Lions Club, and a recipient of the Melvin Jones Award. Devoted father of Marie and husband E. Grant Moore, Jr., Donna Jeanette and husband Russell E. Doyle Jr., Michele Ann Pardoe and Step-Children; the late Bruce Peach, Marvine Elizabeth and husband Steven Jenkins, Thomas and wife Shelia J. Peach, Teresa Ann Peach and companion Glen A. Lane, Patrick A and wife Nancy A. Peach. Dearest brother of C. Thompson Pardoe, David H. Pardoe, Lyla Sander, the late Myrle L. Pardoe, Jr. and the late Jeanne Garner. Elmer K. Raiman 86 of Finksburg, MD, died Thursday January 15, 2009 at the Dove House in Westminster, MD. He was the spouse of Hazel May McCabe Raiman of Finksburg. Mr. Raiman was born August 31, 1922 in Chicago, IL the son of the late Joseph and late Rose Przygoda Raiman. He was a Commercial Construction Superintendent and also a Farmer. Mr. Raiman and his wife were founding members of Emanuel Baptist Church in Gamber MD . They were also members of Elders Baptist Church. Mr. Raiman enjoyed gardening. He served in the US Coast Guard during WWII. He was also a Disaster Relief Volunteer with the Southern Baptist Convention. In addition to his wife he is survived by 3 daughters and their spouses, Shawnee Huff, Pawnee Camp and Cherokee Ryan, Grandchildren: Ken, Tim, Dakota and Faith, Great-grandchilden: Gabriel, Desmond, Lily, and Elias. Mary Gladys Wright Runkles (nee Walker), age 92, of New Windsor, died Sunday January 25, 2009, at the Carroll Hospice-Dove House in Westminster, MD. She was born February 1, 1916 in Baltimore, MD the daughter of the late Albert George Walker and the late Margaret Catherine Dunn Walker. She was the wife of the late Paul David Wright, died in 1972 and the late Norman W. Runkles who died in 1984. She was a homemaker. She worked at Springfield Sate Hospital and in Olney, MD Brooke Grove Foundation Nursing & Rehab. Center. She was a member of Bethel Church, Member of Woman’s Society; she enjoyed sewing, reading, puzzles and bingo and her cat Kathy. She was the mother of the late George A. Wright, Sr. who died in 2004. She was the grandmother of Wanda Smith and Michael Smith of Mt. Airy, George “Buddy” Wright, Jr. and Denise Wright of New Windsor and the late Donna M. Wright who died in 1964. James Alfred “Pop- Pop” Divers, age 87, of Sykesville, died Sunday February 1, 2009 at Carroll Hospital Center, Westminster, MD. He was born December 26, 1921 in Franklin County, VA the son of the late Irving Lee Divers and the late Geneva Ann Frances Powell Divers. He was the husband of Velma Romaine DuVall Divers, married for 62 years. He came to Maryland in 1939, worked as a farmer for 15 years, worked as LPN at Springfield Hospital until retirement during that time he won several awards. He was an avid softball player and fisherman and he enjoyed watching football. He loved the garden. Father of Alan R. Divers and his wife Nancy of Placerville, CA and Velma Tucker of Sykesville. Preceded in death by son in law James R. Tucker. Brother of- Ories D. Divers of North Carolina, Ellas D. Divers of Pansy, Alabama, Zelma M. Hubbard of Troutville, VA, Helen I. He was born February 16, 1925 in Woodbine, MD the son of the late Lewis Albert Welsh and the late Mary Evelyn Grimes Pickett. He was a retired Baltimore City Firefighter from Truck 2. Member of Firefighters Union Local 734 IAFF. A life Member of Owings Mill VFW and a Member of Sykesville American Legion, Member of Moose Lodge 1381. Liked Poker, NASCAR, Baltimore Orioles and Baltimore Colts. He was Veteran of the US Army. Surviving him are Children: William K Welsh, Sr. of Altoona, PA Thomas J. Judy B. Norwood (nee Adkins), age 63, of Eldersburg, died Friday February 13, 2009 of University Medical Center, Baltimore, MD. She was born February 27, 1945 in Charlottesville, VA the daughter of the late Ray Adkins and the late Ida Gibson Adkins. She was a Quality Control Inspector for Chesapeake Corporation for 30 years. She was a member of Elders Baptist Church in Eldersburg. She helped with the nursery for over 20 years and helped arranging weddings and funerals at the church. She was helped with Vacation Bible School at the church. She was the wife of Doug N. Norwood. She was the mother of Kimberley Ann Norwood of Tampa, FL. She was the sister of Helen Armstrong, Mary Adkins, Ray and Horace Adkins all of Charlottesville, VA. Celeste S. Barnes (nee Shoemaker), age 87, of Winfield, died Saturday February 14, 2009 at Carroll Hospice, Inc.-Dove House, Westminster, MD. Born August 22, 1921 in Louin, MS, she was the daughter of the late Walter Henry Shoemaker and the late Lillie Mae Read Shoemaker. She was the wife of the late Carlton R. Barnes who died April 8, 1994. She was the eldest of 9 children, 4 sisters surviving. She was a 1946 graduate of Mississippi State College for Women, where she met her husband while he was stationed at Camp Shelby at the end of WWII. She moved to MD and taught at Sykesville HS. They married on December 20, 1946. She later worked as a social worker at Springfield State Hospital, retiring in 1984. She was a member of Taylorsville UMC, life member of Carroll County Historical Society, and Life member of Winfield Ladies Auxiliary, and Carroll County Homemakers Club going on several of their world travel trips. Her main interest was sewing for herself and others, reading novels, and traveling the world. She is survived by her children: Wanda & David Hall of Joppa, MD; Wilma & Howard Poole of Boydton, VA; Grandchildren: R. Warren & Penepi Brown of Winfield, Wendy Millender & husband Charles of Manchester, Michael Hall of Baltimore, Michelle Hall of New York and Christie Poole; and 8 great-grandchildren. Sisters Hope Ulmer of Bay Springs, MS, Myra Kincaide of Dillon, CO; Delores Shoemaker of Los Angeles, CA and Rachel Prislovsky of Memphis, TN. Herbert Wilmer Findeisen, Jr. (Retired Baltimore City Educator), age 77, of Orrtanna, PA, formerly of Randallstown, MD died Saturday February 14, 2009 at York Hospital, York, PA. He was born November 2, 1931 in Baltimore, MD the son of the late Herbert Wilmer Findeisen, Sr. and the late Edna Regina Kessler Findeisen. He was the husband of Shirley Ann (Quidas) Findeisen married for 47 years. Father of James H. Findeisen and his wife Roseann of Berkley Heights, NJ, Steven M. Findeisen and wife Robin of Westminster, MD and Herbert W. Findeisen III and wife Kathleen of Mt. Airy, MD. Grandfather of Ryan James, Gregory Joseph, Emma Magdalena and Lara Elizabeth, Douglas Kyle and Victoria Lynn Findeisen. He served in the US Navy during the Korean War Quartermaster, USS Gilbert Islands. He graduated From Baltimore Polytechnic H.S., and Towson State BS degree in Education, and Master in Mathematics at Catholic University and Master in Education Western MD College. He worked for 28 years for the Baltimore City Public Schools as Mathematics Teacher/Department Head, Assistant Principal and Principal retiring in 1984. He also was a Mathematics Teacher and Evening administrator at Carroll Community College. Jack Graham Corvin, Sr., age 75, of Sykesville, died Saturday February 14, 2009 at Carroll Hospice-Dove House in Westminster, MD. He was born May 11, 1933 in Wytheville, VA, the son of the late Raymond Ernest and Elizabeth Alice Kegley Corvin. He was the husband of Glenna Jean Corvin of 46 years of Marriage. He worked for Glenelg Martins of Baltimore for a long period of years as a aircraft company. He worked for Sunset Hills Farms for 25 years as a horseman and maintenance Forman. He served in the armed forces. He enjoyed his family and time with his grandchildren and great grandsons. Surviving children are daughter and son-in-law Betty and Bill Hopkins, Sr., Klondike, Texas, son and daughter in law Jack G. Jr. and Stacey Corvin of Colora, MD and daughter Bobbie Jo and Stanley Haines of Taneytown, MD. He was predeceased by an infant daughter and a son Charles Rodney Corvin. He has 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandsons. Surviving siblings are Polly Jennings of West Virginia, Daniel Corvin of Baltimore County, MD and Sue Harless of Joppa, MD. She was born September 11, 1916 in Randallstown, MD the daughter of the late Samuel Adam Schmidt and the late Virginia Dare Mettum Schmidt. She was the wife of the late Elmo L. Jones. She was a housewife. She was the oldest living member of Mt. Olive U.M. Church in Randallstown. She was Past President of Liberty Road Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary. She was the mother of Betty L. Becker of Eldersburg, Stanley A. Jones of Randallstown, Martin L. Jones of Pine Ridge, FL formerly of Eldersburg and the late Robert L. Jones. She was the sister of the late Elizabeth McGinnis, late Eleanor Tate, late Dorothy Hohman, late June Clark, and late Sara Snyder. Also survived by 9 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Margaret L. Mott (nee McNamara), age 85, of Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, died Thursday February 19, 2009 at Pleasant View Nursing Home in Mt. Airy, MD. She was born September 12, 1923 in Minneapolis, Minnesota the daughter of the late George Loyal McNamara and the late Florence McLeod McNamara. She was the wife of the late Walter B. Mott. She was the mother of Thomas Mott of PA, Barbara Ford of New York, Kathi Wzientek of MD, Gary Mott of MD and Christine Frick of MD. Sister of Robert McNamara of Wisconsin. Also survived by 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She was a Retired Clerk for the US Post Office. She served in the Navy Waves during WWII. She grew up in Huron, South Dakota and lived in Long Island, NY for many years before moving to Rehoboth, DE. She loved casinos and slots, reading, Knitting and the Beach. She made many friends over the years and she enjoyed being with family and friends. Roscoe “Bud” W. Maring 83 Life Long Resident of Gillis Rd in Woodbine, MD, died Saturday, February 21, 2009 at home in Woodbine. He was the spouse of 56 years to June Hidey Maring. Mr. Maring was born on December 3, 1925 in Woodbine, MD the son of the late Jesse B. Maring and the late Edna Welsh Maring. Mr. Maring was a Farmer, a School Bus Contractor and was retired from Exxon where he was a Truck Driver and later a Dispatcher. He was a Carroll County 4-H Leader and Beef Superintendent for the Carroll County 4-H Fair. He was a member of the Carroll County Fair Board and also the Ag Center Board and the Carroll County Farm Bureau for over 50 years. He was also an Avid Oriole and sports fan. Surviving in addition to his wife are Sons and Daughter-in-laws: Donald and Dawn Maring , Gary and Sheri Maring, Daughters Susan and Linda Maring and Granddaughters Stephanie and Stacie Maring all of Woodbine. He is preceded in death by Brothers Ralph and Raymond Maring and Sisters Gladys Arbaugh and Thelma Davis. Joyce Ann Simms Dorsey 64, of Germantown, MD went home to be with the Lord of Tuesday February 17, 2009. She was born May 15, 1944 to Israel Singleton and the late Lucille H Simms Dotson. She graduated from Robert Moton High School in 1962. She was employed at A.E.C (Now D.O.E.) in Germantown, MD. She worked 20 years at the department of Transportation (Ride On) in Montgomery County. She dedicated her life to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of Warren UMC and later rededicated her life to Simpson UMC where Rev. Gregory McNeil is Pastor. She had enough love in her heart for everyone. She was the devoted Mother of Regina Dorsey of Derwood, MD, Cynthia and Joe Jenkins of Germantown, MD and Richard L. Dorsey of Germantown, MD. Marie Baker Will, formerly of Winfield, MD, died on March 8, 2009 at Lorien Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Taneytown, MD on her 96th Birthday. Born March 8, 1913 in Winfield, MD she was the daughter of the late Howard and Elsie Stuller Baker. She was the wife of the late David Nelson Will who died in 1990. She lived her entire life in Winfield area until 2004 when she became a resident at Lorien. She had resided at Senior Constant Care in Winfield from 1999-2004. She worked in the Winfield Elementary School cafeteria for 26 years before retiring in 1976. She was a lifelong and active member of St. James United Methodist Church @ Dennings where she taught Sunday school, worked with Bible School, and was a member of UMW (United Methodist Women) as well as holding many offices and chairmanships. She had previously been in Homemakers, the PTA and the Winfield, OWLS. She was a charter member o the Winfield Fire Department Auxiliary, where she devoted much time volunteering until poor health would not permit it. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family. She is survived by daughter and son-in-law Deanna and V. David Grayson of Taneytown, a sister Katherine Gosnell of Troy, NY Two Grandchildren and their spouses Dr. Kevin and Angie Grayson, La Grande, OR and Amy and Todd Airing of Winfield, MD, Two Great-grandchildren Emily Airing and Wesley Grayson, two nieces, numerous cousins and close friends Caroline and Donald Vincent and family of Huntsville, AL. He served in the U.S. Army Air Force as an Aircraft Approach Controller, during World War II and was honorably discharged in 1946. Barbara (Collins) Hauf 52 of Sykesville, MD, died Sunday April 5, 2009 at the Dove House in Westminster after a hard fought battle with Inflammatory Breast Cancer. She was the spouse of Scott Hauf of Sykesville. Mrs. Hauf was born January 30, 1957 in Baltimore, MD. The daughter of Joseph Collins and Elizabeth (Maher) Collins of Eldersburg. Was a graduate of Glenelg High School where she was a Cheerleader and play Field Hockey. She is a homemaker and previously employed by G. E. Capital. Barb was a second Mom to many of her Sons Friends. She was a volunteer at the Snack Bar for Sykesville Raiders Football and also a volunteer for Piney Ridge Elementary School. Member of the Church of the Nazarene in Eldersburg. Her hobbies included Cutting Hair, Entertaining family and friends at her home for holidays and Raven’s games , Ocean City, Steamed Crabs, Shopping, gardening, playing cards with her Mom, going to the movies , swimming in her pool watching her son’s play football at Century High School. She loved her dogs Honey, Chase and Diddy. Also surviving are Sons Scotty and Matt Hauf both of Sykesville. Brother Joe and his wife Becky Collins, Sister Debbie and her husband Doug Dawson. Sister Mary Lee and husband Richard Diggs, Brother-in-laws David and wife Donna Hauf, Kurt and wife Carlie Hauf. He was born January 27, 1920 in Gamber, MD the son of the late Charles E. Hoff, Sr. and the late Hilda M. Hoff (nee Niner). He was a farmer. He enjoyed going to the Hoff Sawmill with his brothers. Ruth Louise Fleming Conaway, 95, of Woodbine died Thursday, April 16, 2009, at Lorien Nursing Home in Mt. Airy where she had resided for 3 ½ years. Born September 21, 1913, in Woodbine, she was the daughter of the late Charles A. and Josephine Sellman Fleming. She was the wife of Raymond N. “Bud” Conaway, who died in 1992, after 57 years of marriage. She was a member of the Ebenezer United Methodist Church, and before her health declined, was an active member of the Winfield Community Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and the Ebenezer Owls. She was a homemaker, enjoyed gardening, sewing, quilting, raising her family and being with her siblings and friends. Surviving are daughter and son-in-law Margaret and Harry Franklin of Mt. Airy, sons and daughters-in-law Richard and Connie Conaway of Albuquerque, NM, Raymond and Linda Conaway of Westminster and Robert and Pat Conaway of Mocksville, NC. She is also survived by grandchildren and spouses, Karen Franklin, Mark and Tammy Franklin, Kevin and Becky Franklin, Christina and Christopher Tucker, Michele and Darren Hayden, Shannon and Bob Cucci, Ryan and Jennifer Conaway, Brant and Heidi Conaway, step-grandchildren and spouses, Jessica and Will Morataya, Christopher and Colby Tetlow, step-grandsons, Adam Granic, Paul and Chris Giordano, and step-granddaughter, Jill Lawson, 13 great grandchildren and 7 step-great grandchildren. From a family of twelve children, seven of which survived to adulthood, she is the last surviving member of her family. She was preceded in death by brothers Walter, Wilbur, Roscoe, and Floyd Fleming and sisters Edith Gartrell and Grace Dorsey and her great grandson, Parker Tucker. Mr. James Previti, 82 of Mt. Airy, passed away at his home on April 17, 2009. He was the beloved husband of Charlotte Elizabeth Martin Previti for 43 years. He always stated proudly that he had never removed his Wedding Band during that time. He was born July 19, 1926 in Philadelphia, PA the son of the late Samuel and Pauline Previti. James served as a Seaman First Class in the US Navy during World War II. He was a member of Prudence Lodge #190 A.F. & A.M. of Mt. Airy, MD, a member of Almas Temple Mini Motors, a life Member of Naomi Chapter #3, Washington DC, 32 degree Scottish Rite, Member of Mt. Airy Volunteer Fire Department, a retired Sheet Metal Worker and member of local 100. He was also a member of Prospect United Methodist Church. He was a fan and enjoyed watching the Baltimore Orioles and Ravens and doing crossword puzzles. In addition to his wife he is survived by his brother Louis Previti of Gettysburg, PA, Daughters Paula Snyder, Nancy Thurston, and Carol Ridgeway. Sons James, Philip and John Previti. She was the daughter of the late William and Annie Lyles. In later years she was a resident of Carroll County living in both Eldersburg and Westminster. She had several different occupations but spent her later years as a caregiver for longtime companion the late Herman Costley, Sr. Surviving are brother William Lyles, Jr. of Germantown, Sisters Gretchen Chase of Germantown and Ricki and husband Arthur Mays of South Carolina. He retired from Baltimore County Recreation and Parks and Diamond Ridge Golf course as a groundskeeper. He enjoyed fishing and playing blue grass music on the guitar. He enjoyed his family. Joe was the Loving Spouse of over 50 years to Elsie Heflin Stephenson of Taylorsville. He was born July 8, 1931 in Patterson, NJ the son of the late George W. and Miriam Sykes Stephenson. Joe was employed by Goddard Space and Flight Center @ NASA. He was a member of Calvary Untied Methodist Church in Mt. Airy. He served in the US Army for 6 years during the Korean Conflict and later served full time in both the DC and MD National Guards. In addition to his wife Mr. Stephenson is survived by Daughters and Son-in-laws: Linda and Hugh Bennett of Ellicott City and Teresa and Jerry Shank of Monrovia, Brothers: George and Donald Stephenson, Sisters: Phyllis Jones and Nancy Paul. She was the wife of the late Fred Beuchert, Jr and the former wife of James Craighead. She was a secretary with the Largo, Florida Department of Transportation up until her retirement. Previously she was employed with the Prince Georges County Department of Health and Fabricators Steel . She was an avid reader who enjoyed astrology and genealogy. She spent many years living in Clearwater, Florida before moving to Mt. Airy to be closer to her family. Surviving are her children, Daniel Beuchert and wife, Mirta of Puerto Rico, and Fred Beuchert III and wife, Diana of Mt. Airy; grandchildren, Sandra Foyt and her husband, Dr. David, Daniel Beuchert II, Christina Kinchen and her husband, Dan, Nastasha Gloger and husband, Brad, Paula Rivera and husband, Hector, Sara Hubble and Amy Morrissey; great-grandchildren, Kayla and Alex Foyt, Danielle and Kaley Kinchen, Shane Gloger, Ethan, Isabella and Jonathan Rivera, Kristine, Zachary and Olivia Hubble, Leah, Tyler, Dustin and Dillon Morrissey. She was formerly living in Bellevue, Washington. She was the wife of the late Ira F. Becker, Jr. She was born January 1, 1927, in Bronx, NY, the daughter of the late Clarence & Florence Cummings. She was a homemaker, and Executive Assistant for National Liberty Corp. She adored singing and dancing, and was a member of Song Writers of North America. She was active in Issaquah Washington Community Theater. She also loved all wild and domestic animals, particularly cats. She donated much of her time and love caring for needy animals through the Mont. Co. PA Humane Society and the King Co. Wash. Animal Control. She is survived by daughters Gail Becker of Mt. Airy, and Carol Carty of Bellevue, WA. She was preceded in death by brother Milton Cummings, and grandson Colin Carty. Services will be at a later date. William M. Moffitt, Sr., age 82, of Mt. Airy, died Wednesday, June 10 2009. Born in Buladean, North Carolina, on May 4, 1927, he was the son of the late Elzia and Hester Francis Moffitt. He was the husband of M. Sue Moffit, his wife of 60 years and was the last of his immediate family. Extremely patriotic, he was very proud of his 20 year service with the Army Air Corps/Air Force as Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor/Flight Engineer. He served and was stationed at bases all over the world, including Guam, Germany, the Philippines, Japan, England, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico, as well as numerous stateside assignments. He served during World War II, the Korean Conflict, and the Vietnam War but was most proud of his service during the Berlin Air Lift. During his time of service he received numerous awards and citations. Upon retirement from the Air Force he was employed at Black & Decker in Hampstead until his retirement in 1977. He was a 32nd degree Mason and Shriner. He enjoyed trips in the family RV, camping, fishing, gospel music and blue grass concerts. After discovering Maryland steamed crabs upon moving to Maryland, he and his wife enjoyed crabbing trips to the Wye River with family and friends. He also enjoyed his boat and delighted in taking brave family volunteers on thrilling water skiing adventures. He also loved his Yorkie Terrier and devoted friend, Buddy. He was predeceased by his grandson, Evan Thomas Moffitt. In addition to his wife he is survived by son and daughter in law, William and Jamie Moffitt, of Clinton, Tennessee, daughter and son in law, Vicky and Donald Patton of Mt. Airy, Maryland, beloved nieces Louise Butler and husband Gene and Lorene Mullinex and husband Jay, all of Johnson City, Tennessee as well as numerous nieces and nephews. LuAnn Kenzie (formerly Beavers), age
67, of Mt. Airy, died Sunday July 26, 2009 at her home.
She was born August 27, 1941 in Carson City, Michigan, the
daughter of the late Bernard Frank Kenzie and the late Marjorie
Hazelton Kenzie. LuAnn grew up on Pleasant Lake northeast of
Jackson, MI. She
graduated from Jackson High School, Class of 1959.
Upon graduation she moved to New York City and enrolled in
flight attendant school from where she was recruited by Trailways
Bus Company. She
joined Trailways in Washington, D.C. as a Hostess servicing the
Washington, D.C. to Boston, MA route.
LuAnn left Trailways to marry and begin her family and, in
1974, settled in Mt. Airy, MD where she spent the remainder of her
adult life. LuAnn had
a true passion for life. She
enjoyed an extensive network of friends and was a generous hostess
always eager to gather her friends and family together.
In more recent years she enjoyed traveling the U.S. and
spent time in the Western and Southeastern states.
She was a terrific bargain hunter and a dedicated yard-saler
with what many considered to be a ‘’midas-touch’’. She was
an executive Assistant for Suburban Hospital, Bethesda, MD for 8
years, retiring in March 2005.
The memorial service will be held at Taylorsville United
Methodist Church, 4356 Ridge Road, Taylorsville, MD by Reverend
Sarah Dorrance on Friday July 31, 2009 at 11:00 AM, with a
gathering at the church from 10:00-11:00 AM.

Robert "Bob" Stoesser, of Mt. Airy, died peacefully at home on Saturday, October 3. 2009 at the age of 64 after a brave battle with cancer. Bob was born in Hackensack, New Jersey on January 29, 1945 to his mother, Gloria Herrick, and late father, Eddie Stoesser. Bob Stoesser accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior on October 28, 2003 with his Pastor Wally Webster. His new life with Christ has profoundly affected all those he met, especially children and he continued to minister to those who visited him in his final hospital stay. Bob has lived in Columbia, Silver Spring, and Mount Airy, Maryland and is a member of Mount Airy Bible Church. He is survived by his loving and faithful wife of 25 years, Chari, and his four children and their spouses respectively: Eva Fewster and her husband Robert, Eddie Stoesser and his wife Lauren, Chari Abb, and Mark Waters and his wife Carla. He is also survived by his sister, Jean Spindler and her husband Henry, his sister, Anne Coles and her husband Larry, his brother Eddie Stoesser, and grandchildren Shelby and Emma Abb. Bob graduated from East Texas State University with a teaching degree and taught fifth grade in New Jersey. He worked at United Van Lines-Greenmount Moving and Storage for twenty-four years as a salesman. Bob was in the greeting, visitation, and AWANA ministries at his church. His hobbies included collecting model trains, antiquing, cooking, fishing, and watching sports-especially the New York Giants. After moving to his country home, he became an avid deer hunter. Dudderar and the late Helen Virginia Eckard Dudderar. Mrs. Smith was a Registered Nurse and graduated from Frederick Memorial Hospital’s nursing program in 1940. She worked first at the US Public Health Hospital in Wyman Park and then transferred to the Social Security Administration in Woodlawn where she was a nursing supervisor. Mr. Janney was born May 2, 1938 in Montgomery County. The son of the late Richard White Janney, Sr. and the late Dorothy Crosby Janney. Mr. Janney was a Ret. Major with the Maryland State Police after 35 years of services, when with the State Police he was the Original Commander of MD State Police SWAT Team. He was also retired from Holy Cross Hospital where he was the Director of Security. He was a Life Member of Sandy Spring Volunteer Fire Dept, A veteran of the US Army, a member of Salem UMC. His hobbies included Bluegrass Music, Family and visiting his beach house. Mildred Claire Zampino (nee Williams), age 89, of Unionville, MD., previously of Long Island, NY., and Fort Lee, NJ., died on Thursday, November 12, 2009, at her home. She was born on June 8, 1920 in Brooklyn, NY., the daughter of the late Walter Williams and the late Mildred Allen Dunlap. She was the loving wife of Charles Joseph Zampino of Berwick, PA., whom she met while both were students at the Traphagan School of Fashion in New York City. She was the mother of Rev. Philip Charles Zampino and his wife, Jean, of Unionville, grandmother of David Allen Zampino, Sr. of Delavan, WI., Bonnie Lynn Zampino, and Mark Andrew Zampino, Sr., both of Harpers Ferry, WV., and great-grandmother of 15. A veteran of World War II, she served as a draftsman in the Army Signal Corps, and was a member of American Legion Post 11 in Frederick. She was also a member of the D.A.R. in Nassau County, Long Island, NY. Mrs. Zampino was a vital member of Jesus, Our Shepherd Anglican Church (formerly Life in Jesus). As an avid Christian, she was active in sharing her faith through Bible Studies and personal witness, and had a strong prayer ministry. Krautler, Jr. She was born March 28, 1925 in Silver Spring, MD. Mrs. Krautler was a Beautician in Silver Spring. A Champion Duck Pin Bowler that at one time was ranked #7 in the country, she was the first Woman ever to win the Bill Wood Bowling Tournament. He was born November 7, 1921 in Woodbine, MD the son of the late Edward and Late Nettie Virginia Fleming. Mr. Fleming was a Veteran of the US Army serving during WWII in the CBI Theatre. He worked for Van Sant Plumbing and heating in the 1950’s and then was self employed before going on to work for Montgomery County School Board as a HVAC Mechanic . He enjoyed Woodworking and gardening and Hunting. He received the Pilgrim degree from the Frederick Moose Chapter. He also used to enjoy going to the Mt. Airy Rod and Gun Club. Widerman, Sr. He was the spouse of Lucille Widerman (nee Subock) of 56 years. Mr. Widerman served in the US ARMY and then began his employment as an Automotive Parts Counter man until 1964 when he started Charlie’s Camping Center renting and selling RV’s. When the industry was new he was director of newly organized National Recreational Vehicle Assoc. and Served as an Officer and Director and then was Co-Founder of MD Recreational Vehicle Dealers Assoc and served as an Officer and Director. His wife and all 3 Children worked with him at his Dealership. He designed, drew the plans and built present RV Building on Liberty R. He has enjoyed many travel trips to other countries as well as RV Trips He was a Life Long Member of St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church. Surviving him in addition to his wife are Daughter Brenda Widerman, Daughter and Son-in-law Linda and Mark Baskette, Son and Daughter-in-law Keith and Amy Widerman. Grandchildren Brian and Kara Widerman, Stephen Deitz and Megan Baskette. Predeceased by Brother William A Widerman. Eva G. Haines (nee Magin), age 95, of Westminster, MD died Saturday December 19, 2009, at Ridge Overlook in Westminster. She was the wife of Walter T. ‘Bud” Haines of Westminster. She was a presser for Wrights and English American for 35 years. She was a member of Taylorsville U.M. Church. She Loved Gardening. She was born August 12, 1914 the daughter of the late George W. Magin and the late Florence Wright Magin. She was the sister of Ella Goodwin of Westminster and the late George H. Magin, late Hilda Baker, late Fred, Wilbur, Donald, Francis and Ruth Magin. Also survived by sister in laws Dorothy Rhoten of Manchester and Margaret Bair of Westminster. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was a Retired Cafeteria Worker for Montgomery County Schools, Loved to Crochet, Was an active member and volunteered in various ways for her church, Millian Memorial United Methodist.
