Mary
J. Pickett (nee Stem), age 98, of Sykesville, died Wed. March 5, 2003 at
Continuum Care in Sykesville, MD
She was born April 24, 1904 in Winfield, MD the daughter of the late Charles Guy
Stem and the late Sarah Catherine Stem (nee Williams).
She was the wife of the late E. Earl Pickett and late Robert L. Pickett.
She farmed for 3-4 years, she worked at Springfield State Hospital as a nurse
for 22 years and She was a presser for Westminster Clothing Factory
Survived by son E. Emerson Pickett of Lisbon; one grandson, Christopher E.
Pickett of Lisbon; two great grandchildren Christopher R. and Kenneth D. Pickett
both of Lisbon; Sister of the late Francis Stem and late John Stem. Also
survived by several nieces and nephews
Funeral Service will be held Saturday March 8, 2003 at 10:00 AM at Burrier-Queen
Funeral Directors, P.A., 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Winfield, MD (Beside South
Carroll High School) with the Rev. Charles Main, retired Methodist clergy
officiating
Interment will be in Morgan Chapel U.M. Church Cemetery, Woodbine, MD
Friends may call at the Burrier-Queen Funeral Home on Friday from 7-9 PM
